The book “With Worn-Out Tools: Navigating the Rituals of Midlife” by D.C. Lyons will be exhibited at the upcoming Los Angeles Times Festivals of Books, which will be held on April 22-23, 2023, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. The self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet will display the book at their exhibit booth for the literary festival.

“With Worn-Out Tools: Navigating the Rituals of Midlife” is an absolute must-read inspirational book that tells the autobiographical story of the author when he was at the peak of his success in life until an “incident” during his early fifties changed his and his family's lives forever. It is an uplifting story of overcoming hardships in life.

Problems can arise anytime. Darren thought that what he had been through when he was younger would exempt him from the problems waiting in adult life. However, middle age has several rites of passage as well. And it seems like it has no end.

Despite his difficult situation - having two below-knee amputations, being diagnosed with stage five kidney failure requiring dialysis three times a week, and surviving a stroke - Darren never backed out. He had a tenacious desire to fight back for the life he lost.

Readers will root for him, laugh with him, and cry with him as he works his way through his trials, which may be much like anyone.
