Americas Cardroom has closed the OSS XL after 336 events and more than $50 million in guarantees. Americas Cardroom Pros Chris Moneymaker, Chris Moorman and Rob Kuhn supplied the late highlights.
He finished sixth in the $25,500 NLH 8-Max on September 27 for $78,285, then returned one day later to win the $15,400 NLH 8-Max for $214,987.50. Fellow Americas Cardroom Pro Alex Foxen, playing as OutFoxenYou, finished runner-up for $157,216.50. The event drew 49 entries for a $735,000 prize pool.
He won OSS XL #37H for $14,100, OSS XL #148H Mystery Bounty for $9,665.70 and OSS XL #276M Mystery Bounty Turbo for $1,707.19 before completing his fourth victory in OSS XL #347. That $88 Loncar Daily Double tournament carried a $40,000 guarantee, and Moorman earned $8,870.83 for first place.
On September 27, he won the $1,700 Moneymaker Tour Main Event in Aruba, defeating 465 entries and collecting $155,670. Two days later, he finished sixth in the $2,650 OSS XL Main Event for $107,322.25. The Main Event drew 1,069 entries for a $2,672,500 prize pool, above its $2.5 million guarantee.
Stormer Blasnair won OSS XL #314 for $4,514.82; fellow Stormer UBPOKER took sixth in the $20,000 guaranteed OSS XL #318H PKO for $1,023.91; and TowTruckTTV pulled a $7,500 Mystery Bounty in OSS XL #7. Fduchun posted two separate cashes, while Lenazu won OSS XL #294L.
Americas Cardroom Pro Chance Kornuth, who reached both final tables in the August/September Dual Mystery Bounty Venoms, said, “I think it would be pretty delusional to try and improve on the last Venom results, but what I will say is Venom is way too good to miss. I'll be in there battling and trying to do my best.”
The Dual Venom PKOs run October 4-21, with $5 million guaranteed in NLH and $1.5 million guaranteed in PLO. Both events have $2,650 buy-ins and five Day 1 flights.
