Relve has launched a global petition on Change.org to have 11.11 recognized every year as Solo Founders Day, a day to celebrate the people who build alone. Relve is the first to sign. It is calling on accelerators, investors, founder communities and tech companies to mark the day, spotlight solo-built products and share solo founders’ stories using #SoloFoundersDay.
The date carries its own meaning. Four ones side by side stand for one person, one idea, one product and one shot. The petition notes that 11.11 is also Remembrance Day and Veterans Day in many countries, and that Solo Founders Day is meant to sit alongside those observances with respect, not replace them.
Building solo is no longer the exception. Carta’s Solo Founders Report 2025 found that the share of new US startups with a solo founder rose from 23.7 percent in 2019 to 36.3 percent in the first half of 2025. These builders write the code, talk to customers, handle the money and make every hard call alone.
